A Timeless Triumph

Michaela and Stephen’s dream home sits in a picturesque village overlooking the serene Lough Swilly, between Derry and Buncrana.

[dropcap style=”square”]T[/dropcap]he couple recently built this masterpiece to accommodate their growing family of which there are three boys; aged 11, 9 and one. The project began during lockdown, which afforded Stephen, a builder, prime time to dedicate his efforts to working on it. The family moved in March 2023. ‘It’s been a long process, but it was worth every effort,’ Michaela begins. The inspiration for the overall style of the house came from the couple’s love for the traditional. ‘We do like traditional. Des Ewing was the architect, and we were inspired by his projects and based it around that. I would describe it as a mix of traditional and contemporary,’ she added.
