It’s easy to understand why Annie Heading fell in love with Merchant’s House at first sight. The Georgian towhouse in Derry City is full of period character and original features. Determined to preserve its heritage, she transformed it into a boutique guest accommodation unlike any other.

[dropcap style=”square”]S[/dropcap]oaring ceilings, intricate cornicing, marble fireplaces, original sash windows served up the perfect template for converting Merchant’s House into a place for guests to stay. Its recent transformation celebrates those old parts with joyful colour and modern design making it a truly personal project. Now operating as Merchant’s House boutique guest accommodation, the property offers a collection of individually designed guest rooms alongside a self-catering apartment, each with its own personality but subtly following a signature cohesion.
