Riverside Retreat

We take a closer look inside this award-winning riverside townhouse on the banks of the River Liffey in Dublin.

[dropcap style=”square”]W[/dropcap]orking alongside Ashcroft Developments and ODA Architects, interior designer Jackie Carton of Carton Interiors was tasked with bringing to life the spaces within this beautiful townhouse at Mayfield House, a stunning boutique development of just nine contemporary homes in the heart of historic Chapelizod, on the banks of the River Liffey. ‘Three homes within the development, of which this is one, retain the original façade of the existing Mayfield House. Of course, with the beautiful sash windows to the rooms at the front of the house, presenting a mix of contemporary and more traditional finishes was a theme I worked with when styling the home.’
