Your flooring choice also provides a prime opportunity to introduce textures into your interior, whether you opt for natural hardwoods, a sumptuous carpet or sleek polished tiles will all affect the overall ambience – and acoustics – of a room. When you’ve decided on the right floor for you, the next decision is how many rooms to put it in. As a general rule of thumb, running the same flooring choice throughout an entire floor, or at least a large portion of it (excluding the bathroom), will give a more cohesive look though, that said, different flooring options can be a great way to zone a large space and factor in interest.
