Cliona Standún, co-owner of Standún in Connemara, shares some home truths.

[dropcap style=”square”]M[/dropcap]y home is… A piece of history. We live in an 1860’s Coach House, in a wooded area in the coastal village of An Spidéal in Connemara. It took over four years to restore this beautiful building that had been in ruins for over 40 years. The beautiful cut granite building originally housed two families, one being the local Garda and the other the estate’s caretaker. It also housed the horses and carriages for the estate and we were very mindful to respect and maintain the building’s historical integrity in our restoration.
