[dropcap style=”square”]T[/dropcap]he homeowner of this beautiful project struggled to part with their inherited family home and so undertook a transformation that would elevate it to the calm, coastal-inspired space it is today. The kitchen was shaped for luxury living, whether by future guests or the owners themselves as they contemplated how to use the property going forward. ‘The homeowners came to us wanting a kitchen that embraced the spectacular setting,’ explains designer John McCartney from Kitchen Design Centre. ‘They didn’t have a fixed idea of how it should look, but they wanted the colours of the seaside outside to merge into the interior.’ From that single vision, a contemporary yet character-rich space began to take shape.
