What room the rug is intended for will have a big impact on the design you choose. For busy areas that receive high footfall like hallways and kitchens choose a durable rug like a flatweave made from wool or jute. Alternatively, for bedrooms consider thicker rugs with a deep pile that will bring softness and warmth to the space.
