[dropcap style=”square”]S[/dropcap]øren Hvalsøe Garde has always lived and breathed uncompromising design and sublime craftsmanship so, when it came to creating his floating home in Copenhagen, he did not disappoint. Søren was inspired to pursue this alternative housing concept after previously purchasing a houseboat for his son in the new micro-district of Urban Rigger in Refshaleøen. As someone who has always enjoyed taking things apart and building from scratch, designing a houseboat was the perfect project for Søren, who has long been fascinated by the vessels.
