When Kasha and her husband decided to build their forever home, they didn’t have to look far. Tucked between the Burren Mountains and Galway Bay, just a short walk from their award-winning chocolate factory, the couple found the perfect plot.

[dropcap style=”square”]T[/dropcap]he surroundings of this unique property are peaceful, green and connected to both the land and the world beyond. ‘It’s surrounded by the Burren Mountains, and the landscape is full of green fields, walking trails and some neighbours including a bee keeper who makes the most delicious honey,’ homeowner, Kasha begins. ‘Our chocolate factory is only two minutes from the house, so while it’s quiet, as you step outside you might find yourself chatting to someone from Japan, New Zealand or the US. That contrast is something I really love, calm countryside surroundings and global buzz in one place.’ Kasha is co-founder of Hazel Mountain Chocolate, Ireland’s only bean-to-bar chocolate factory. What began over a decade ago as a passion project has since powered the creation of her cookbooks, television series and now this uniquely personal home.
