There are homes with beautiful interiors, and then there are homes where the architecture, landscape and design come together so beautifully that it’s difficult to imagine one without the other.

With unbroken ocean views from almost every room, it has already earned a place in Irish property folklore, having once belonged to one of Ireland’s best-known entertainers. Today, however, the spotlight belongs to a stunning redesign by Anne Blake, Creative Director of Letterkenny interior design studio La Maison as Lead Designer, with the assistance of Claire McDonough, fellow Director at La Maison and her team. They have transformed into a stunning yet practical family home where every design celebrates the extraordinary surroundings. ‘From the very first visit, it was impossible not to be captivated by the setting,’ Anne begins. ‘The house enjoys an extraordinary position overlooking the wild Atlantic coastline, and we felt immediately that the landscape had to become the focal point of the design.’
