[dropcap style=”square”]C[/dropcap]roatia is quickly becoming one of Europe’s most fashionable places to visit but has not been over worked by the tourism industry. Backpacker, family, cyclist, sailor, sun worshipper, party-goer or historian, there is something for everyone in Croatia.
Things to see and do
In Dubrovnik most of the top attractions are concentrated in the car-free old town. Within the medieval walls two monumental arched gates, Pile (to the west) and Ploce (to the east), serve as entrances to the old town and they are joined by the main thoroughfare, Stradun. On either side of Stradun there are grids of narrow alleys with steep stone steps, harbouring countless cafés and restaurants. To Game of Thrones viewers Dubrovnik is King’s Landing and there are themed guided tours for all die hard fans.
