Carlingford

This vast adventure centre offers over 26 land and water based activities including SkyPark with Ireland’s longest high ropes course which will take you spinning through the forest trees on the mountainside. You can indulge in sports such as golfing, angling, sailing, horse riding, birdwatching, trekking and cycling (bicycle hire is available in the area). More leisurely pursuits involve beer and whiskey tastings, jewellery making, cookery lessons, beauty treatments, designer shopping and guided walking tours of the historic town of Carlingford, which is a virtual outdoor museum of medieval Ireland. To enhance your sense of its history, you can also mint your own original Carlingford Coin at the Tourist Office. A summer highlight is the Carlingford Oyster Festival, a four day thrilling celebration for the entire family, running from 10th to 14th August.
