If you’re short on patience, fast-growing hedges like privet or laurel can be used, but bear in mind they will need more pruning over the summer to keep them in check. On the other hand, if you have a more relaxed timeline, moderately-growing options such as beech, hornbeam and holly will reward you with long-lasting beauty.
