[dropcap style=”square”]T[/dropcap]he owners of this stylish self-build felt that they needed some guidance when it came to the final finishes of their home and approached interior designer Shauna Stewart from Velvet Interiors to ensure their preferred minimalist aesthetic didn’t look stark and soulless. ‘In this instance the couple were downsizing. While they still have older children living at home, they didn’t need the same space they once had and also wanted a home that would suffice when it would just be the two of them. They wanted a casual, relaxed feeling throughout and when they got to the stage when interior design decisions needed to be made they realised they needed some guidance. Bringing a minimal look to life does require some thought and I was delighted to get the opportunity to help them achieve this,’ comments Shauna.
